The bunny box

Easter is around the corner and I thought that I would adapt my "little box" pattern for the occasion. 

Paques arrive a grands pas et je me suis dit que j'allais adapter mon patron de la "petite boite" pour l'occasion.

What you need is:

- Print the templates

- Fabric for inner and outer box

- Strong interfacing

- Black and red fabric pens

Il vous faut:

- Imprimer les gabarits

- Du tissu pour l'interieur et l'exterieur de la boite

- De l'entoilage

- Des feutres a tissu noir et rouge

Print the template sheet on an A4 paper

Imprimer le patron sur une feuille A4

Cut all your pieces, it should look like that:

Couper toutes les pieces de tissu, ca devrait ressembler a ca:

Sew the outer  fabric with the interfacing to form a loop (sewing margins are 1cm and are already included)

Coudre le tissu exterieur avec l'entoilage pour former un cercle (les marges de couture sont 1 cm et sont deja incluses)

Do the same with the inner fabric

Faire de meme avec le tissu interieur

The ears:

Put on top of each other the interfacing then the outer fabric right face up and finally the inner fabric right face down

Mettre l'un sur l'autre l'entoilage, le tissu exterieur et le tissu interieur cote envers

 Coudre en laissant une ouverture en bas de l'oreille. Cranter le haut de l'oreille et retourner

Sew around leaving an opening at the bottom of the ear. Cut notches at the top of the ear. Turn inside out.

 

Repasser et former 2 plis en bas des oreilles

Press and form 2 pleats at the bottom of the ears

Repasser un rentre de 1 cm sur le cercle interieur et exterieur

Press a 1 cm tuck on the outer and inner circle

 Cut 1 cm off the interfacing circle

Couper 1 cm de cercle d'entoilage

Pin and sew the circle on the bottom of the box, repeat with the inner box

Epingler et coudre le cercle sur la boite, faire de meme avec la boite interieure

Retourner la boite exterieure et inserer le cercle d'entoilage

Turn the outer box inside out and drop at the bottom the cercle of interfacing

Insert the innner box inside the outer box slipping between the 2 layers the ears (they should be inserted by about 4 cm to insure that the ears stand). Pin and sew all around 2mm from the top edge and repeat 1 cm below the first seam. Draw the face et voila!

Inserer la boite interieur dans la boite exterieure tout en inserant les oreilles entre les deux epaisseurs (elles doivent etre inserer a 4 cm environ pour etre sure que les oreilles restent droites). Epingler et coudre tout autour a 2mm bu bord et repeter a 1cm du bord de la premiere couture. Dessiner le visage et voila!
